Metrostav DIZ is a modern, fast-growing construction company with high ethical standards that has been successfully operating on the Czech construction market for more than 25 years.

It is a renowned partner for its customers in many segments of construction contracting thanks to the professional and fair attitude of its skilled employees, emphasis on innovation and respectful attitude towards the environment and civil society.

In 2017, the company became a member of the Metrostav Group and successfully expanded its traditional know-how in the field of construction, modernisation and greening of energy sources to include the segments of buildings for industry,

healthcare, sports and education, civil construction and, last but not least, reconstruction of historical buildings.

The company’s name is based on the original name DIZ Bohemia, where the abbreviation DIZ stood for supplier-engineering plants (dodavatelsko-inženýrské závody).

Plant 1

More information

The focus of the plant’s activities is primarily civic amenity buildings, whether new construction, reconstruction or modernisation of existing buildings. The plant also has several project teams with experience in the implementation of swimming pool structures, which are traditionally demanding in terms of construction physics and coordination of technological units. It is also the plant with the widest regional presence in the Czech Republic, operating in Plzeň Region, in addition to North and South Moravia.

The energy sector plus production and assembly of steel structures – this is the main focus of this industrially oriented plant. The energy sector is represented here by contracts leading to the greening of existing sources (power plants and heating plants) as well as innovative EPC projects focused on the increasing trend of energy recovery from waste.

The production and assembly of steel structures, however, does not end with the implementation of projects in the energy sector. Its scope also extends to transport and industrial structures, and to civil engineering.

This is a production unit with activities in civil engineering. Some of its personnel have competences for the execution of national defence contracts.

Water management structures, civil engineering, buildings for healthcare – this is a typical cross-section of the production programme of this plant with operations in the South Bohemian and Vysočina Regions.

Its wide production range leads through the construction of civic amenities, buildings for healthcare, the chemicals industry, the energy sector, sports and leisure buildings and the reconstruction of cultural heritage to orders for specialised centres for hot water pipelines and piping work. Together with its operations in Ústí nad Labem and Liberec Regions, where it operates, among other things, its own small water management infrastructure centres, it is one of the company’s largest plants.

It operates mainly in the field of civil engineering. Its greatest asset is several strong project teams for the management of reconstruction of historical and listed buildings. To this end, heritage restoration operations have been carefully developed and its staff has valuable knowledge, skills and historical craftsmanship. In territorial terms, the plant operates mainly in the Karlovy Vary, Pardubice and Hradec Králové Regions.
