The company was founded in June 1997 under the name DIS-R s.r.o. It provided full services in the field of conventional energy, especially EPC turnkey deliveries. In 2005, the company was renamed DIZ Bohemia s.r.o. (DIZ – supplier-engineering plants/dodavatelsko-inženýrské závody) and its activities expanded into the segment of flue gas cleaning in the conventional energy sector. For example, it modernised the desulphurisation of Mělník I power plant and the desulphurisation of Dětmarovice power plant.

Since 2007, the activities of the flue gas cleaning centre have also focused on incinerators. Significant implementations in this period include the provision of new electrostatic precipitators for ZEVO Malešice, or a new section of the hot pipeline from ZEVO to the Prague heating system. In 2008-2009, the company opened centres in Ostrava and Prague. During 2014-2016, DIZ Bohemia provided, for example, the modernisation of the desulphurisation of the Vřesová power plant. In 2015 – 2020 the company implemented the desulphurisation project of the Mělník I power plant, boiler K1 – K6. Since 2017, the company has been part of the Metrostav Group, where it has been successfully expanding its portfolio of controlled technologies.
