Environmental Policy of Metrostav DIZ a.s.

Metrostav DIZ a.s. is a dynamic company performing demanding construction and technological works. At Metrostav DIZ we have an integrated management system set up so that we are able to meet the objectives and standards we have committed to as a company in the areas of environmental protection and sustainability.

Our main environmental objective is to be perceived by our stakeholders as a resilient company that behaves according to the principles of sustainable construction, with environmental protection as a priority.

In view of our main objective and in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 14 001 and the objectives of the Green Deal for Europe, the company’s senior management undertakes to:

  • comply with the applicable provisions of legal regulations and other binding duties related to environmental protection;
  • meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders, and support our business partners in this endeavour;
  • continuously improve the environmental management system to improve environmental performance;
  • develop environmental objectives and plans in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals;
  • protect the environment, with an emphasis on pollution prevention;
  • minimise negative impacts on the quality of the landscape, soil, water and biodiversity of the natural environment;
  • promote the reduction of climate change-related greenhouse gas emissions from construction projects, road vehicles and stationary emission sources;
  • promote the circular economy and the use of sustainable materials;
  • pay increased attention to construction projects that are planned and tendered in accordance with the Green Deal’s objectives;
  • continuously educate employees on environmental protection and sustainability;
  • work with business partners to promote sustainable development principles, encourage collaboration with innovative organisations and companies.
