Launch of BioPharma Hub Project in Brno

Today, as members of the contractors’ association, we symbolically approved the construction of the BioPharma Hub project at Masaryk University in Brno. The ceremonial moment was attended by representatives of the government, the region and the city. The building is located on the eastern side of the northern edge of the Masaryk University campus in Brno-Bohunice and creates infrastructure for pharmaceutical, medical and natural science disciplines. The hub will house the Faculty of Pharmacy, a preclinical centre including a large animal hospital and the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, with their operations supported by a state-of-the-art IT centre – the ITI Hall.

From the structural point of view, the main building is designed as a single compact reinforced concrete monolithic unit without dilatation. The building has three underground and five above-ground floors, which makes it a large complex capable of meeting the needs of research and development in the relevant fields. For Metrostav DIZ, Plant 1, the project is led by Ing. Vladimír Palát.
